Along with completing our senior projects, my high school also mandated that its students complete a senior portfolio. Most of the mandatory materials were just dry runs for forms we would have to fill out in the "real world," e.g. College Applications, Job applications. We were also required to include "points of pride," and I used the extra page protectors I had lying about to house some of my senior project materials.

Job Readiness Materials

Resume

What I put in my portfolio wasn't so much a resume as a complete list of my extracurricular activities and awards for all of high school. As a result, it stretched to the ridiculous length of three pages. My real resume is much shorter and contains only the important information.

Job Application

A simple job application for the convenience store down the road. I never actually turned it in to the store, which probably would have been a good idea.

College Application

I actually applied to Harvard. Things didn't work out.

Scholarship Application

Pretty generic.

Letter of Application

Basically a cover letter, I wrote mine in the 15 minutes between the time I woke up and the time I left for school.

Transcript

It's a transcript, what can I say?

Letters of Recommendation

I used two of my letters of recommendation for college, and a generic letter that is available to all participants in the National Young Leaders Conference.

Points of Pride

Due to a small techincal problem, this section is unavailable. Don't worry, you aren't missing much. Just some certificates.

Senior Project Materials

Senior Project Proposal

No computer text version of this exists, and the scanned copy is unavailable due to the same glitch as the above section.

Stiller, Jesse. "RE: 490 L'Enfant Plaza East." E-mail to Charlie Piggott. 14-May-2007.

An e-mail interview I conducted with a Federal Employee.

Burns, Mark. Interview. 11-May-2007.

This is an interview I conducted with a friend/Latin student.

ADW 12/5/2007. Arizona Daily Wildcat. 5-December-2007:10.

This, straight from the pages of the ADW.

FedEx Kinko's invoice.

I had an extra page protector in my binder, so I thought I'd include the receipt from Kinko's for the binding of my senior project.

The Missing Papers

As it turns out, I had more extra page protectors than I thought. This is because I sent to the ADW for the two papers I needed on 1-May-2008 (this and this). The man at the phone agreed to get them to me, but I never got them.

Documentation Paper

This is the paper I was required to write about my senior project.
